JOSH Bates says playing his part in Sheffield’s Championship glory has left him wanting more.

Bates is currently considering his options with clubs interested in signing him for 2018 as he looks to secure team spots in the top two leagues.

And he said: “I want to be a part of successful teams, after what we did with Sheffield last season I want to do it again.

“It was a sweet feeling and I want more of the same in 2018. I also want to be successful on an individual basis and riding in the Grand Prix at Cardiff last year also have me a taste of what I can achieve.

“I’m really looking forward to 2018 and hopefully there will be some news soon on where I will be racing.”

Meanwhile Bates has taken steps to ramp up his image with the launch of his new website joshbatesspeedway.co.uk and a new facebook page Josh Bates Speedway – plus more interaction on his @Josh96Bates twitter feed.

He’s linked up with a leading media agency who specialise in Speedway and will be providing weekly updates for fans and sponsors once the season starts – plus winter updates.

“I realise how important fans and sponsors are and I want to keep them more updates,” he said. “Hopefully this move will create a professional image and keep everyone more in the picture. I’d like to thank everyone for their support.”
