GRAND FINAL TIME!
Saturday September 30, 2017
TIGERS bosses are backing Ipswich legend Scott Nicholls to put one over his former club and bring the Championship back to South Yorkshire tonight.
Nicholls replaces the injured Josh Grajczonek, who jarred his leg at Owlerton on Thursday night in the first leg of the Grand Final.
They head to Suffolk tonight with a handy 16-point lead despite losing Grajczonek, one of the top riders in the league.
Co-promoter Damien Bates said: “We are gutted to be without Josh who is one of the top three riders in the league.
“He’s also helped the team so much, his presence in the pits is fantastic and he’s a big loss.
“But Scotty was the obvious choice, as a former Ipswich rider he’s done a lot of laps around there and he’s a top, top professional.
“I know he will give it his all, he always do regardless of the opposition and I’m looking forward to seeing him in Sheffield colours tonight.”
