SHEFFIELD Speedway can confirm they have received a written transfer request from talented Canadian youngster Kyle Legault.

Legault has spent the 2007 season on loan to Mildenhall after he was squeezed out of Tigers' plans because of a reduction in the points limit.

Now he is attracting interest from the Elite League and Sheffield have vowed to do all they can to co-operate with his wishes.

Co-promoter David Hoggart said: "Kyle wants to enhance and develop his career at a higher level and we have no problem with that.

"Whilst it is disappointing for us, every rider wants to show some ambition and we are happy to help Kyle but at this stage we are waiting to hear back from him.

"In accordance with the standard procedure within speedway, we will be circulating his name to other clubs once we have had further dialogue with the rider himself."
