SHEFFIELD owner Neil Machin insists past results with King’s Lynn count for nothing going into the play-off semi-final between the sides out at Owlerton on Thursday (7.45pm).
The Norfolk side have dominated recent clashes between the clubs – including last season’s Grand Final.
But Machin, who is urging fans to turn out in force for the biggest night of the season, believes his side have a level chance of reaching the final and going for the league title.
Said Machin: “We start level, the slate has been wiped clean and it’s vital for us to gain some sort of lead to go into the second leg next Wednesday.
"There's no denying the fact that King's Lynn are a top side and they will be strong favourites, so from that point of view all the pressure will be on them.
"It's up to us to spring a surprise and I'm sure our fans will turn out in force - we need the terraces full to get behind our lads."
Meanwhile, the club have announced extra space in the corporate boxes on the first and second turns, anyone interested should contact the club office 01142 853142 for further details.
As with all meetings at Owlerton this season, children aged 12 and under will be admitted free of charge.
