GARRITY: NOT OVER

Thursday September 17, 2015
SHEFFIELD number one Jason Garrity has warned Premier League play-off rivals Peterborough their quarter-final clash is far from over.

The Panthers produced a stirring fightback to win 46-44 in the first leg at Owlerton on Thursday despite being on the receiving end of a hat-trick of 5-1s in the opening three races.

Garrity admitted: "I'm absolutely gutted that we let the lead slip after starting so well.

"Three 5-1s was a fantastic way to start the meeting, but then Peterborough suddenly starting gating and got themselves into it.

"It's not good to be beaten at home but two points is nothing. We can turn that around in one race and we will give Peterborough a good run for their money at their place,.

"I know I go well round that track and a few of the other boys do as well. Anything can happen in speedway.

"Some of the things that have been said by Peterborough are out of order.

"They've been disrespectful by saying we are not good enough to be in the play-offs and hopefully we can still prove them wrong."
