BUMPER NIGHT AHEAD!

Wednesday August 29, 2007
SHEFFIELD'S speedway riders are facing up to make-or-break time in their bid to reach the play-offs - starting on Thursday at home to Birmingham (7.45pm).

The Sheffield Window Centre-backed side put themselves back in contention for a top four finish with back-to-back away wins over Somerset and Mildenhall at the weekend.

And Thursday's entertainment package is impressive to say the least - 15 fascinating heats of Premier League racing with the Brummies, plus the sensational ball skills of soccer sensation 'Mr Woo' and the Elite League Riders' Championship screened throughout the stadium.

Tigers owner Neil Machin said: "It's a great night on offer for supporters and we're expecting a bigger than usual crowd, particularly with Mr Woo's appearance during the interval.

"It's a massive meeting against Birmingham and from what I've seen of Mr Woo on the internet he is simply sensational!"

James Birkinshaw is once again ruled out through injury so Sheffield will operate the rider-replacement facility.

And once again the club are offering FREE ADMISSION to children aged 12 and under as they look to win over fans of the future.

SHEFFIELD: Ricky Ashworth, Ben Wilson, Andre Compton, James Birkinshaw R/R, Joel Parsons, Paul Cooper, James Cockle.
BIRMINGHAM: Henning Bager, Emiliano Sanchez R/R, Jason Lyons, Henrik Moller, Manuel Hauzinger, Lee Smart, Ben Powell.
