SHEFFIELD completed a sensational two days as they stormed to a comprehensive 55-37 victory over Redcar at the South Tees Motorsport Park.

Just a day after their stunning win at Ipswich, the Window Centre Tigers put in another spectacular display to maintain their perfect League Cup record and mathematically confirm their semi-final place.

Jack Lee’s side once again put in a superb all-around team performance, running just four last places as all seven riders made important contributions.

Popular Australian Ty Proctor notched two race wins on his way to a vital nine points from the No.5 position, and he was delighted to help the Tigers claim another excellent win.

Said Proctor: “It was a really good team performance again, and I was happy with my own performance in the end as well.

“All in all the team has been brilliant, we have great team spirit and Josh (Grajczonek) came in for Steady and did a great job tonight just like Nick (Morris) did at Ipswich yesterday.

“It was another really good win for us away from home, it was a very good performance and we are feeling full of confidence again.”

Guesting No.1 Josh Grajczonek stormed to a faultless 12 point maximum, whilst Jason Garrity continued his encouraging start to life with the Tigers with a double figure return including a classy heat 15 win.

Stand-in skipper Andre Compton dropped just one point with another outstanding performance, whilst youngster Josh Bates completed two stunning rides in heats eight and 14 to strike 5-1s with Compton and Garrity respectively.

Middle order man Ashley Birks took the chequered flag in composed fashion in heat 12 to cancel out a Stuart Robson tactical ride and end any chances of a Redcar comeback, whilst Arthur Sissis also added a solid paid five with a battling showing.

It was a confidence-boosting display from Sheffield as they prepare for their mouth-watering showdown at Glasgow in front of the Sky TV cameras next Tuesday before welcoming Peterborough to Owlerton 48 hours later.
