TIGER CUBS v LONG EATON, PREVIEW

Wednesday August 13, 2014
The Long Eaton Invaders head up the M1 to Sheffield tomorrow night to face the Tiger Cubs in the reverse fixture of last Saturdays clash at Leicester and judging by the strength of the team they have put together they are determined to make amends for letting the league points escape at their home track.

Layne Cupitt is fast becoming a permanent second-half fixture here at Owlerton, this time wearing the Invaders race jacket, and leads an experienced team of MDL top-performers including Lee Geary and our old friend Tom Woolley, alongside rookie Rob Parker.

With Ben Holloway unavailable due to work commitments, the Cubs have drafted in Adam Kirby who did an excellent job when guesting for us at Coventry earlier in the season. He joins regular Cubs Sean, Alex and Dan, and all of them will need to make the most of home track advantage if we hope to repel those Invaders.
