The Sheffield Tiger Cubs went down fighting last night at Rye House in a close fought contest.

The Raiders were only one point ahead after 4 races but a 5-1 to the home team in Heat 5 effectively secured them a victory.

The Cubs were led brilliantly by guest Adam Kirby who raced to an immaculate three ride maximum, supported by Ben Holloway, with two second places, and Ben Hewitt, in for Alex Wilson who was away at the British Youth Championships.

Dan's bike refused to show any signs of life ahead of his first ride, but once sorted he again gained the experience of completing eight good laps of a track he had not seen before.

The Raiders were solid from top to bottom with even Danny Eyres recovering from falls in each of his first two rides to take a win in that decisive fifth heat.
