SHEFFIELD face Glasgow in the battle of the Tigers at Owlerton Stadium on Thursday (7.45pm).
Both sides are expected to be at full strength for the first of two meetings in four days between the two big city clubs - the return Premier League clash is in Scotland on Sunday.
Sheffield owner Neil Machin is urging his Sheffield Window Centre-backed riders to treat Glasgow with great respect as they have riders within their team who have good records around the big Owlerton bowl - officially the fastest track in British Speedway.
George Stancl started his British career with Sheffield 13-years ago and Glasgow skipper Shane Parker was a regular in the Sheffield team when ex-skipper Sean Wilson suffered neck injuries in 2004.
Machin said: "Both Stancl and Parker always perform well around our track and we will need to keep them under control with our top riders.
"But Glasgow have strength lower down the order as well with the likes of Lee Smethills and David McAllan who have both scored well here in the past."
Tigers are continuing with their special promotion where children under the age of 12 will be admitted free of charge as the club look to attract a new generation of supporters on the Owlerton terraces.
