TIGERS V BERWICK - THURSDAY, PREVIEW

Wednesday April 11, 2012
SHEFFIELD Tigers have been warned they need to be at their best to see off a powerhouse Berwick side in Thursday’s League Cup action at Owlerton (7.45).

The Sheffield Window Centre side picked up positive results in two meetings with Redcar last week and are looking to pick up where they left off.

But they are facing a team of Owlerton experts with former Tigers duo Ricky Ashworth – subject to fitness – and Lee Complin both included in the Bandits side along with the very impressive Seb Alden.

Ashworth left Sheffield in a high profile move during the winter when the club couldn’t accommodate him under the points limit and he is desperate to win his battle for fitness after aggravating an old injury at the weekend.

Tigers boss David Hoggart said: "Lee Complin has had some excellent meetings at Sheffield over the years, and Alden can do plenty of damage if he is having one of his nights. If he is firing, he can be extraordinary and he could cause us plenty of problems.

"We are very positive within the camp at the moment after a couple of good results last week, but we need to be right on our game tonight because Berwick are a good side. It should be a cracking meeting."

SHEFFIELD: Josef Franc, Hugh Skidmore, Ricky Wells, Richard Hall, Emiliano Sanchez, Joe Haines, Klaus Jakobsen.

BERWICK: Ricky Ashworth, Jason King, Lee Complin, David Bellego, Sebastian Alden, Alex Edberg, Lubos Tomicek.
