RYE HOUSE 56 TIGERS 40

Saturday March 24, 2012
DAVID Hoggart has labelled Thursday's home clash with Workington as "the big one" after Sheffield went down at Rye House on Saturday.

The Tigers improved as the meeting went on but their slow start proved costly as the Rockets eventually ran out 56-40 winners, and co-boss Hoggart has put extra emphasis on the League Cup battle with a much fancied Workington side on Thursday.

He said: "It was a tough night at Rye House but now we look ahead and Thursday's meeting is a big one. We are absolutely determined to get our first win under our belts and hopefully the public come out in force to support us."

Hoggart also revealed that the Tigers septet will be together on Sunday as they head to the Motorpoint Arena as guests of the city's top ice hockey side, the Sheffield Steelers; "All the team and management will be at the Motorpoint Arena on Sunday to watch the Steelers and the team will be presented to the fans on ice, which we hope will be a boost for them.

"We have an initiative in place with the Steelers and all their fans will see our advert in Sunday's programme, and we hope that those fans will flock to Owlerton on Thursday to cheer the boys on."
