HALL IN BEN FUND ACTION

Wednesday March 07, 2012
SHEFFIELD skipper Richard Hall will be in action this Sunday (March 11) when he races in the Ben Fund Bonanza meeting at Birmingham (5pm).

It’s an early start for the popular Owlerton man who will be the only representative of the Sheffield Window Centre-backed side in the event.

And he will be up against several world class riders including triple world champion Nicki Pedersen and Grand Prix riders Kenneth Bjerre, Hans Andersen and Bjarne Pedersen.

The event raises vital cash for the Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund charity which supports injured riders both past and present. It continues to offer financial assistance to riders who saw their career ended through injury, some of whom are now wheelchair-bound.

Said Hall: “This is the third time I’ve done this meeting and I’m really pleased to have the opportunity, it should be a great occasion.”

Sheffield have confirmed their pre-season practice will take place next Thursday, March 15, and the public are welcome to attend (3.30pm).

They then host Shane Parker’s farewell on March 18 before the team go into action for the first time against Belle Vue on March 22 at Owlerton.
