SHEFFIELD Tigers are celebrating the excellent pre-season news that Sheffield Window Centre will once again be main team sponsors.

It will be the sixth successive year that loyal supporter Ian Hunter and his staff will back the Owlerton side and the Sheffield Window Centre logo will appear on team race jackets.

Sheffield Tigers owner Neil Machin is thrilled with the news, particularly in such turbulent economic times.

“We’re delighted to be able to continue our sponsorship deal with Ian Hunter at Sheffield Window Centre,” said Machin.

“It’s the sixth season we’ve had the link and it continues to prove beneficial to both parties.

“Part of it is that we can entertain their guests using our facilities here at Owlerton and they had had business from our fans, while our identity is projected on their fleet of company vans in and around the Sheffield area.

“It’s a solid working relationship which is something we always attempt to develop with all of our sponsors.”

Meanwhile, the new-look Tigers septet will be on the track for the first time at the pre-season launch on Thursday, March 15.

The start has been scheduled for 3.30pm when the initial presentations will be made, followed by the riders blowing off the cobwebs at 4.30pm. The full practice session will be followed by a social evening in the Panorama Room.
