NEW Sheffield signing Joe Haines is desperate to get his career back on track in 2012.

Haines will meet fans of the Sheffield Window Centre-backed club at a function on Thursday at SAHA Social Club on Fulwood Road (8pm).

And he admits his move to Owlerton represents a chance to rebuild his confidence.

He said: “Last season was tough for me after I had crashed in Australia and I never really got going.

“This is a new challenge for me and I’m excited about my move to Sheffield. I’m desperate to make it a success and it’s an important year for me on a personal level.”
