THREE MORE FOR TIGERS

Thursday December 01, 2011
SHEFFIELD Tigers have agreed new deals with club assets Emiliano Sanchez and Hugh Skidmore to stay with the club next season.

And the Sheffield Window Centre-backed club have swooped to sign former British Under-21 champion Joe Haines in a loan deal from Elite League Wolverhampton.

The news means they have now secured four of their seven riders for the 2012 Premier League campaign which starts next March.

Club owner Neil Machin said: “Emiliano is always a popular rider and we’ll be looking for him to carry on where he left off at the end of the past season.

“Hugh is investing heavily in his equipment for 2012 and that has to be good news.

“He’s made a lot of strides over the last couple of seasons and knows that the year ahead will give him the opportunity to up his game even further.

“Joe Haines is buzzing about joining Sheffield and sees this as his big chance to get his career back on track after suffering a bad knock in Australia last winter.

“We’ve done the team in a different way this year, working from the base upwards and now we are working on putting the finishing touches to the top end of the side.”
