TIGERS AIM FOR FOURS GLORY

Saturday May 12, 2007
SHEFFIELD Tigers are hoping to complete a hat-trick of wins in the prestigious Premier League Fours Championship at Peterborough on Sunday (2pm).

The Sheffield Window Centre-backed side claimed the title in 1999 - their first national silverware in 25-years - and retained it the following season.

Current skipper Andre Compton is a survivor of the 1999 win and he admits it bring back fond memories.

He said: "It was a very special occasion and nothing would give me more pleasure than to see us win it again on Sunday.

"We have riders who can all perform well on the Peterborough track and I'm sure we'll be taking plenty of support as well."

James Birkinshaw misses out at reserve because of the bad bruising sustained at Berwick a fortnight ago which means Paul Cooper is rewarded for his good run of form with a call-up.

TIGERS: Andre Compton, Ricky Ashworth, Ben Wilson, Joel Parsons, Paul Cooper (Res).
