BOOCOCK LOOKING FOR TOP SPOT

Thursday November 10, 2011
SHEFFIELD boss Eric Boocock says the club will be piecing a team together for 2012 to go one better than this year.

The Owlerton side finished runners-up behind Glasgow in the Premier League and are facing a major reshuffle with Shane Parker retiring and Josh Auty looking for a move elsewhere.

Bosses from all clubs will meet next week in Warwickshire for the sport's AGM when the structure of the sport for next season will be agreeed.

Said Boocock: "It's an important time of the year and we know what points limit we have to work to.

"But we're just holding back on putting a team together until we get back from the AGM next week and then we will start signing riders. But I expect big changes at Sheffield and we will be looking to go one better than last season."

The new season will get underway at Owlerton next March with Shane Parker's Farewell meeting pencilled in for March 18.
