BERWICK V TIGERS - PREVIEW

Friday September 09, 2011
SHEFFIELD Tigers look to continue their fine run of form when they travel to Berwick on Premier League business on Saturday (7pm).

And club owner Neil Machin is warning the home side not to underestimate his rampant Tigers side.

The Sheffield Window Centre-backed team are on a good run and put 69 points past Rye House on Thursday night.

He said: “If Berwick underestimate us then they will be foolish, but knowing their management they will have their riders well and truly up for the challenge.”

Berwick bolstered their side with the signing of Swedish star Ludvig Lindgren on a doubling-up basis with Wolverhampton in July and Sebastian Alden has been bought from Swindon.

But they’ll be without Kozza Smith who crashed heavily in mid-week and suffered a dislocated shoulder.

Tigers will be unchanged from Thursday when Josh Auty, Shane Parker and Simon Lambert went through the meeting unbeaten by a Rye House rider.

BERWICK: Seb Alden, Ludvig Lindgren, Kozza Smith Guest, Josef Franc R/R, Lee Complin, Mitchell Davey, Jade Mudgway.

TIGERS: Shane Parker, Hugh Skidmore, Ricky Ashworth, Emiliano Sanchez, Josh Auty, Simon Lambert, Ashley Birks.
