THE funeral of popular Sheffield Tigers official Roy Wilson has been put back to a later date to be confirmed.

Roy, who passed away last week, was instrumental in the success of the old Sheffield training track and helped develop some fine young riders.

He was also a key member of the Sheffield racenight staff for many years until illness curtailed his involvement three years ago.

Sadly, Roy's widow Betty is currently in hospital and for this reason Wednesday's scheduled date for the funeral has been postponed.
