TIGERS LOOKING TO BOUNCE BACK

Sunday May 06, 2007
SHEFFIELD Tigers look to bounce back from the disappointment of their Knockout Cup exit at the hands of Edinburgh 48-hours ago when they resume Premier League action at Newcastle tonight (6pm).

Former Newcastle man James Birkinshaw will sit the meeting out once again after suffering bad bruising in the win at Berwick last week.

Tigers skipper Andre Compton, also an ex-Diamond, will be looking to continue his superb run of form as Sheffield look to build on their two league wins so far.

Tigers co-promoter David Hoggart said: "We're going up there to win, make no mistake about that, but it's going to be tough. It's a good opportunity to get over the disappointment of our cup defeat."

NEWCASTLE: Josef Franc, Carl Wilkinson, Jonas Raun, Ross Brady, Christian Henry, Ashley Johnson, Sean Stoddart.

SHEFFIELD: Andre Compton, Ben Wilson, Ricky Ashworth, James Birkinshaw R/R, Joel Parsons, James Cockle, Paul Cooper.
