‘TIGERS JACKPOT’ INTRODUCED

Wednesday April 01, 2026
SHEFFIELD Speedway are pleased to launch the ‘Tigers Jackpot’ - an exciting new addition to racenights at Owlerton.

Following feedback from fans who completed the Supporters’ Survey over the winter, the club have been working hard on replacing the traditional 50/50 draw with a large percentage of respondents feeling it was ‘dated’.

And Thursday night versus Belle Vue will see supporters able to buy a Tigers Jackpot ticket for the first time for just £1 upon entering the stadium.

Press Officer Ryan Guest said: “The club have taken a lot of feedback on board over the course of the close season, a lot of which was to do with things on racenight themselves.

“One topic which was raised quite often was the 50/50 draw and that prompted us to take a look at introducing something new for 2026.

“The Tigers Jackpot is focussed around the on track action itself and supporters who enter can still take home a generous amount of cash if they are the lucky winner.

“Essentially, for £1, supporters can buy a ticket that will have five helmet colours on below the wording of Heats 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15.

“If all five of their helmet colours match the relevant heat winners out on track, then they claim the Tigers jackpot.

“There are over 1,000 permutations and that means, depending on how many tickets are sold, the jackpot could roll over to the next meeting.

“The club’s owners have agreed to launch the Tigers Jackpot with a starting pot of £250 which will increase with every ticket purchased.

“We hope supporters will get themselves involved by buying a ticket and will eventually see it as another unique, fun aspect to their night out at Owlerton.”
