PREVIEW: TIGERS v BELLE VUE

Wednesday April 01, 2026
SHEFFIELD launch their home programme for 2026 with a Premiership Knockout Cup clash against rivals Belle Vue at Owlerton on Thursday (April 2, 7.30pm).

The aggregate point is up for grabs in the Northern Section with the Tigers trailing by just six points (42-48) from when the teams met in Manchester on Monday.

Sheffield's record against the Aces in the Steel City in the modern era of the top flight is an impressive one with the Owlerton outfit unbeaten in 12 meetings in all competitions with the Tigers reaching at least 50 points in each of their last five at home against the men from Manchester.

That's a statistic that aids captain Josh Pickering's mindset that his side can gain another success over their Roses rivals in front of their own supporters - but is also wary of the potential threat the visitors can carry.

“Whilst a few of us weren’t happy with what we got score wise on Monday, as a team we left ourselves in a good position,” Pickering said.

“It’s not going to be easy at all, but previous history between the two sides at Owlerton would suggest we’ve put ourselves in the driving seat.”

Sheffield are at full strength whilst Belle Vue will be without Norick Blodorn following his crash on Monday night in Manchester.

Tigers Ten Tickets are valid and holders must show their card at the hut outside Napoleons Casino to receive their parking free of charge.

Racenight+ tickets, which include admission, 1x Official Racenight Programme, Centre Green viewing of Heats 8-11, plus a signed photograph selected at random upon entry, will remain on sale until 12 noon on the day of the fixture via http://www.sheffield-speedway.com/ticketoffice.

Racenight+ admission can be gained via the VIP gate next to the main turnstiles.

Standard admission tickets can be purchased by cash or card at the turnstiles on racenight only which open from 6pm.

A fresh looking ‘Tiger Talk’ Racenight programme will also be available for £4 on entry to the stadium.

The club will also launch the ‘Tigers Jackpot’ an exciting new feature replacing the standard 50/50 draw where supporters can take home the money up for grabs based on what happens out on track.

The first 50 junior or kids through the turnstiles will also receive a free Easter egg.

Supporters can also make enquiries on the night via the Speedway Office which will now be open between 6pm and 7.15pm.
